Multipoint inspection.
With every Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned vehicle you have the
confidence that it is as close to new as it can be. To qualify for
certified status, a vehicle must have been maintained to
Mercedes-Benz Warranty requirements by an authorized Mercedes-Benz
dealer. Only then does it go through a 150-point certification
inspection of all of its mechanical and electronic components. Its
appearance is scrutinized inside and out - and under. Finally the
vehicle must pass a thorough road test by an expert technician who
only passes it if everything functions as the factory intended it
to.
If any deficiencies are found, they are repaired, replaced or
reconditioned using only Mercedes-Benz Genuine parts. A Certified
Pre-Owned vehicle comes with the remainder of its original new
vehicle warranty and a standard Star Certified Pre-Owned Warranty
up to 24 months and/or 40,000 km. You can add an Extended Limited
Warranty for up to 36 months and/or 80,000 km. That's
confidence.
A 150-point certification inspection is performed on every
Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle. This inspection includes a
comprehensive review of the vehicle's appearance, safety
systems, electrical systems and components, undercarriage and
drivetrain, engine performance, and fluid levels. An on-the-road
test is performed as is an extensive post-drive analysis and a
complete service history is supplied.
Warranty coverage.
The first line of protection is knowing that when you purchase a
Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned, you are covered. Every Certified
Mercedes-Benz includes the Mercedes-Benz Star Certified Warranty in
the price of the vehicle. If there is any coverage left on the
vehicle's original new vehicle warranty of 4 years or 80,000 km
*, it remains in effect throughout its original term, at which
point the standard Mercedes-Benz Star Certified Pre-Owned Warranty
term begins, providing protection up to another two years or a
total of 120,000 accumulated kilometres. *
Balance of Factory Warranty: If the
Certified vehicle you purchase has not yet reached the factory
warranty age and mileage limits, you can take advantage of the
balance of this warranty.
Star Certified Warranty: Certified vehicles are
covered by a two-year, 40,000-km Star Certified Warranty. The Star
Certified Warranty is valid for 24 to 72 months from the initial
registration date of the vehicle. It provides major component and
power train coverage as well as roadside assistance. For more

Extended Limited Warranty: This optional
warranty provides coverage up to 7 years or 160,000km, whichever
comes first.*
*If you want to widen your comfort zone for an even longer time,
you can purchase a Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty for an
additional term. That means you can cover your Mercedes-Benz
Certified Pre-Owned vehicle for up to an additional three years
after the original factory warranty expires, or 160,000 total
vehicle kilometres, whichever comes first. *
